Our Origin

The story of Bluebird Invest originates from the international journey of its founder, Zouhair. Of Lebanese origin, he developed his career in the Middle East (mainly Dubai) and Europe, during which time he managed residential real estate projects.

Seeking to formalize his business vision, he obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Entrepreneurship in the United Kingdom (Henley Business School - University of Reading). His professional experience continued to expand through Saudi Arabia, where he focused on fintech and crypto-assets, followed by international projects in Lebanon, Germany and Slovenia.

Finally, his connection with the Americas was forged through academic and technological collaborations in Colombia (with Universidad Manuela Beltrán and Universidad de los Andes) and health-tech experience in New York, United States.

The definitive impulse for the creation of the firm came from the Middle East. Investors from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, who already have a deep investment track record in Africa and other regions of the Global South, actively sought out El Helou. They entrusted him with the task of building bridges and finding high-potential opportunities in Latin America and the Global South. This direct demand from international capital, combined with the ecosystem El Helou had already identified in Colombia, crystallized in the founding of Bluebird Invest.

Today, the firm acts as a cultural, linguistic, and regulatory bridge, where its founder's command of four key languages (native Arabic, French, English, and Spanish) is an essential tool. With a co-founding team with Latin American roots, Bluebird translates corporate governance standards and aligns incentives to turn regional potential into sustained growth.
